QuestionHow do I put a swivel onto the faucet?Community AnswerYou'll need a swivel, optional size converter, and Teflon tape. The best units combine swivel, aerator, and side twist to spray, like a shower head. Note: faucets may have different sizes, a converter looks like a washer with threads inside and out. Note direction: you are usually above the faucet, looking down, so clockwise/counterclockwise orientation for tighten/loosen may appear backwards. Step 1: Remove old end, aerator (looks like a cap with a little screen), or previous swivel that broke and part is still there; carefully clean the threads. Step 2: Use one layer of Teflon tape around the outer threads. Converter first, then swivel. Hand tighten to be very snug, and do not wrench.

QuestionWhat can I do to eliminate banging noises in my faucet?Community AnswerShut the water off below the sink or at the main valve, most likely in the basement or lower level. There is a knurled area just below the pivot of the handle that needs to unscrew to access the cartridge below it. You can get the replacement cartridge from any big box hardware store.

QuestionWhat size Allen wrench is used to remove a handle on a delta ball type faucet?Community AnswerWhatever size fits. It's the type that's important, not the size. If you have the right kind of wrench, you just need to eyeball the size of the nut you're trying to remove.

QuestionHow do I remove the snap connectors on a faucet?Community AnswerThese are proprietary Delta quick connectors. You should be able to squeeze in on the edges of the 2 halves of plastic connector (farthest away end) and then rock it back and forth to remove. If it won’t remove, there is a thin oval-shaped spring wire that slides in a groove at a 45 degree angle around the two halves of plastic connectors. Take needle nosed pliers and grab wire in the middle (lowest portion) and pull down at the same angle to slide the wire off. The connector will fall apart, and can be reassembled once it has been disconnected. Hold the two halves in place on end of hose, slide wire back on in the grooves.
