Earlier today I deleted an inappropriate article that had been recreated after multiple deletions, so I went to sysop protect it from being created again, but it was still recreated at least twice (check the Protection and Deletion logs to see what I’m referring to, and the possible bug.) Is it a bug?
Just a bit off topic, but can’t you redirect it to This Page
which will prevent it from getting created again.

True; just wanted to bring up the separate issue

I’m not sure protection works on a title, I think it only works on an article that populates that title. Once the article is gone, the protection goes with it.

What I would do is redirect to wikiHow:Deleted Article and then protect it, because I think that might actually work.
