I have recently encountered a couple users asking if/howv much wH pays for editting/similar… Anyone else seen this? Does anyone know why people thijk that they will get paid…
We usually have had this question asked, so it’s nothing new. Some websites like eHow employ writers and pay them for the articles they write (isn’t it?). There are other websites, too. That might make them presume that even wikiHow pays its editors. Neither it charges, nor it pays any money. Only the people on the staff get paid. If people ask you questions like that, tell that that wH does not pay and it is a volunteer site.
Yes, I get those messages on my talk page a lot. To add to what Shina said, I would let the user know, in a friendly way, that only our small staff (such as Chris H and Krystle) get paid, but most of us are volunteers (including myself!). I believe that some users might think that the wikiHow company pays users to do certain activities because they are new and are not sure how the site works.
I do not remember ever seeing this before now… But it has been a bit since I have really been active, so…

Hn… I never had any luck creating templates and could not find any template creator groups (I was sure there was one…) Does anyone know any template designers?
