Hey, whenever I log onto wikiHow, I go to the main page and I get logged out! =O Safari Browser. June Days

It’s Safari. I hate Safari. No, actually, I don’t know why it’s doing that to you. Is it still? Try a different browser. See if that works.

If you can, try to upload a screencast video of the problem in real time. That usually helps get a much better visualization. (Just a suggestion) http://www.wikihow.com/Record-a-Screencast-with-Screencast-O-Matic

Protip: Chrome > Safari and it takes literally 2 minutes to download/set up.

Ahhhh… OK, weird…I go to the Home Page, and I’m logged out, then I go to the login and its says I’m logged in! So, when I’m not on the Home Page, I’m logged in, and when I go to the Home Page, I get logged out. Jordan, I’ll record a screencast…I hope I can, last time I tried…Didn’t work out too well… June Days

A screencast would help a lot. This shouldn’t be happening and maybe there’s something we can do to fix it! If that doesn’t work, June, maybe we can do a Google hangouts screenshare? If you can get into a Google hangout you can share your screen, and I can see what’s going on.

Maybe, you could try clearing your cache. Sounds like your browser cached a copy of the logged out home page. Go to the homepage, and press CTRL - R (If you’re on Windows). On Mac, It’s Command - R.

June Days, are you still using your Kindle?

Safari’s only on Mac.:wink:June Days

@Krystle , strangest thing, it’s working again? I’m not getting logged out! =O If it happens again, I’ll do the screenshare with you, though. Thanks for helping out! June Days

Not fully true. Apple has a Windows-desktop client software (a limited version of Safari called the same thing). Safari - Apple

^ Yup. Used to have Safari on Win XP.

Ohhhhh…Shows how much I know about tech.:wink:June Days

Maybe, you just cleared your cookies?

I don’t know what that means…

Cookies are what holds your session data. They contain your username, password, etc, etc. When you visit a site, it check for a cookie with login data, if it finds it, you are automatically logged in. If it doesn’t, when you log in, it writes one. It’s how the site remembers you.

Ohhh…

Yup. New pic, eh?

Yup. Flowers. So, my main pics are either flowers, pictures from my trip to the Smoky Mountains or…Fireworks! June Days

@June Days, I like your new profile picture!
