Browser: Firefox 4.0.1 OS: Windows XP SP3 It looks to me like images and videos remain in the Quality Guardian even if they’ve already been removed from the article, such as having been reverted via RC Patrol or when a vigilant reader removes it themselves. http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Pack-For-an-Overseas-Class-Trip&diff=6580624&oldid=6538672 The image above appeared just now for me in the Quality Guardian, and I voted to have it removed. The tool indicated that the image was removed (another editor voted the same earlier today) but it looks like the image addition was already reverted 13 hours ago in this edit: http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Pack-For-an-Overseas-Class-Trip&diff=next&oldid=6580624 I noticed this was true for a few articles, but that’s the only one I quickly caught. If the tool is supposed to be this way, I can move this to Village Pump…but for right now, it seems like a bug to me. If the image or video has already been removed from the article, I don’t see the need to vote…or, maybe if two people vote yes, it does fit the article, is the image/video readded? Thanks.

The syncing between QG and article edits is something we can improve on, but it’s not something we can completely prevent, since an edit to an article (removing an intro image or video from an article) is not something that can be instantaneously reflected in QG with the way we have things set up. But this is good feedback. I’ve filed a bug report (595) to have this looked into.
