Basically the title. If an anonymous editor has an IPv6 IP address, then they won’t get the usual welcome message from Welcome Bot. You can see this issue were this user has contributed
, but they have no message
.

I wonder how frequent this is - if it’s a lot of editors then we should maybe look into it, but if it’s just a few here or there, it might not be worth the engineering time to figure out and update. Hopefully if people see positive edits from anonymous users, they send a thumbs up or note to encourage them

FYI, it seems that there are some issues with IPv6 compatibility on wikiHow at the moment, so I’ve noted this issue and will see if we might be able to make changes in the future as the team works on IPv6.

This is the first time I have seen an IPv6 address on wikiHow.
They have made one edit
to wikiHow. Yet, on their talk page, there is no welcomebot
. This seems to only affect IPv6.
