On one of the discussions in the forums, I forgot to add something to my comment, so I’m asking to see if it’s okay to edit a comment in the forums?
If your post is missing information, yes, it’s fine to edit it. It’s common etiquette across all online forums to clarifying by adding “Edit:” first, especially if there are other posts after yours.
Yes. You can edit your post to add info, correct mistake(s), etc… Responsible people always add "Edit: " or "Update: " when editing their post. Edit: Edited. XD

I have never said that I edited it. The software does that for me. Just sayin’
Interestingness! Cool software there. It saves you time that way…well, but it only takes you a second to write “Edit”
