Crazy accident on the way to the Kirkwood ski area tonight. Watched a car swerve off the road, flip, fly down a cliff and fortunately get stuck upside down in a group of trees. My wife Tricia and I were the only ones who saw it happen. We stopped, flagged down other drivers to get help, and then used a long extension cord as a rope to climb down the cliff to the car. The two people in the upside down car were amazingly unhurt and climbed with us back to the road. Everyone is now OK. Now as this event was unfolding, I actually remembered what I had read in this article: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-out-of-a-Car-That’s-Hanging-over-a-Cliff
Really. I didn’t remember all of it. But enough to make sure we didn’t do anything stupid enough to dislodge the car from the trees. Not saying that wikiHow saved a life or anything that dramatic. But I did feel better with just a small amount of knowledge from wikiHow in my head. Ironically before tonight I always considered : http://www.wikihow.com/Get-out-of-a-Car-That’s-Hanging-over-a-Cliff
to be a bit of a “joke topic”. Turns out that every now and again those outlandish situations come true. Thank you wikiHow! BTW, watching this happen was really scary. Made me appreciate the good health of my friends and family. Please be safe out there.

When it happens to you, it is almost surreal. I remember looking at the bottom of a car…at an intersection, a few seconds before it clicked that something wasn’t right!
Wow! That was so brave of you to put yourself in harm’s way for others in need of help! I’m glad everyone made it out safely, and also that wikiHow could provide some assistance
Nice! Thank goodness no one was hurt. I always dream about saving some one with Wikihow knowledge, and being the hero for it. I never thought something like that would happen though!
^ I’m happy no one was hurt, it is amazing that a wikiHow article helped, in this situation!
