I was patrolling through videos and found a bunch of videos that appear to be wikiHaus-created or wikiHaus-sponsored videos. They were uploaded a little over a month ago by wikiHow staff and I was curious about them. Here are a few examples: http://www.wikihow.com/Video:Clean-Your-Retainer
http://www.wikihow.com/Video:Make-Chocolate-Dipped-Strawberries
http://www.wikihow.com/Video:Clean-Gold-Jewelry
Is this a pilot project…a new formal project to add videos on wikiHow…just a test? I didn’t see anything on the forums about this (but I may have missed it) and no one in IRC seemed to know about it either, so I was curious. Thanks. @Krystle

Not heard of any new project regarding videos. Not sure, though.
It’s a test. I met a scientist in automated language software who made them for us as part of a company he is starting to commercialize his PhD research. If it looks like our readers like them, we will keep them. If not, we will probably remove them all from the site. We don’t have all the data in yet, but so far the results don’t look too promising. I’m going to hold off making a judgement for now till we have more data in though.
