Hello, I think it would be cool if the random articles were interest-based.

I, too, think it would be useful if a set of search criteria could be specified and the randomizer then could pick from the more limited pool. It seems that such a feature would end up pairing knowledgeable individuals with articles to peruse, and, in the process, articles would, inevitably, be expanded and improved.

Of course, the articles would not be random, but a “Random Article” picked by the current software process is not truly random anyway.

I think it would be cool if I got a dollar for every article page view.  I’m convinced that this pie in the sky will taste amazing!

You may have a wonderful idea… but let’s just keep in mind that wikiHow has a finite number of site engineers… and they have a finite amount of time to spend on keeping the site glitch free.

Your wonderful idea will have to be prioritized along side other site related upkeep… and your idea may not end up as a high priority on their “to do” list when compared to those other maintenance related activities.
