When I say this, the background has to be a light color like Yellow, or Aqua, or something. Yet keeping the text black. Does ANYONE agree? I mean, I have eye problems myself, yet can see it perfectly.

The reason we don’t do it is because the talk pages aren’t a place for that stuff, and they’re oriented around the mission. Your user page is totally fine, since it can be used to express you! =) June Days
Well yeah, Im saying only the colors Lime, Yellow, and Aqua will be allowed for background. They’re pretty bright colors, and I think they make the colors more clear by the chance. Like I said, I have eye problems myself, But can only see on the Aqua, Yellow, and Lime.
Exactly. In some points I cant see on Aqua, so … Yah, haha. In some other ways I agree.

I agree with June on this. We just passed the policy on not allowing coloured backgrounds, so I think we should just keep things as is for now.
While creating the policy, we considered only banning neon/bright colours, and keeping the nice, legible ones. However, we came to the conclusion that allowing some colours and not others would be too subjective - what one person can read easily might be difficult for another. So, we decided that it had to be an “all or nothing” policy. Also, like June stated, feel free to add a border around the page if you want a pop of colour.
