I don’t know if I put the discussion at wrong place. The main aim of the discussion is to know which spelling is correct? – Colour or Color? As I have saw it in some articles I never understood what to keep. I would have asked to help team but there maybe other editors who can know it.
If the article is spelled by the author with predominantly British/American spelling, keep the author’s preferences.
So you mean both are correct

Both are correct. If in doubt, Google it. I learned a lot through double checking, as well as chatting with fellow UK editors through IRC.
Color is the American spelling. Colour is the British spelling. I don’t think it matters which one is used, as long as all the words in one article are the same. (i.e. don’t write colour and 3 lines later have color, keep it all the same)
The word choice does matter. If the article contains mainly British/European spellings we are to use the British spelling and the article is written using the author’s choice of language. I always write using American English so an editor would edit my article using American English. Here’s a link to a wikiHow article that may help: http://www.wikihow.com/Respect-an-Author’s-Choice-of-English-on-Wikihow
To summarize what everybody else said(along with the wH article): Both are correct. If the very first version of the article used “color” , you use color. If it used “colour” you use colour. If nothing was used (or if it was misspelled, then you should look for other hints such as usage of other such words, (such as defense/defence) or titles/content hints( content aimed at USA/UK). If it used both (likely an error), then you choose either. Presuming from your name, that you’re from India, you should be using “colour” in your articles. That doesn’t apply all the time though, since I use “color”(USA) and “defence” (UK) in my writings. Chrome agrees with “color” too, and redlines all my “colour” (s).
Helper has some wonderful tips!
Now I am getting two different types of answers. @Mash317
said it does matters while @AndrewG1999
says it matters. Now which one is right?

Dhruv Parikh How to Choose Which English to Use on wikiHow
is an informative article that should answer all your questions.
if you like the two are from two different languages. they just sound and mean the same. American , and English. If you are publishing a document that will be read in America then use their variant spelling ‘color’ in europe use the english, ‘colour’ …in essence entirely decide which language variable suits you, as a 2nd language english speaker u can do that. Choose to be an American english writer, and keep to american spellings …or the other option- stay all english. this will save you confusion. especially if you are witing an article containing more alternative spelling. such as ‘American’ …the color of the nite sky is black. English /.the colour of the night sky is black/… its nice to be correct but on the whole most first language english speakers cant spell anyway.
Thanks everyone for helping me out.
