Recently, I was scrolling down my talk page when a user, @Sodiumkid , sent me a message saying: Love u.

Why is this message in my talk page? What do I do?

Some people leave spammy talk page messages, unfortunately. I can remove it, and it’d be a lot easier than me explaining it. Do you want me to remove it for you?

No, I can remove messages. I’ve archived talk pages before.

Well, you can try asking them. They may just be a troll saying it for no reason, or they could have gotten you mixed up with someone else. Again, the best thing to do is ask them.

Best to just ignore the trolly messages like that than draw attention to it. They’re usually just trying to get a rise out of you and see if you’ll respond.

Following on what others said, you’ll see tons of messages like this.  A list of a few I had:

  • “I d ont like u”
  • “hop in my whip” (hop into my car)
  • (wanna date me?)
  • “COUNTERFEIT MONEY FOR SALE! …”

They’re all basically off-topic messages, probably from spambots (bots that spam).  This happens on the forums too, not just talk pages.

Those were messages that someone else sent to him .

@PeacocksRule   I’ve seen a few forum threads of them before too. XD  Do they not know that it’s illegal?

Hey, peeps. Looks like we’re getting a little off-topic now. :) 

As I mentioned earlier in this string, it’s best to simply ignore trolly messages and not feed the trolls by responding.
