Yes, I received a thumbs up yesterday. I pressed the cross button but it still does not go away. It is still there. I know this is no feature as I did it once and it went away.

Moved to Bug Reports. Ima - I just tried it and it worked okay for me, so let’s try to figure out what’s going on with your system - it might be down to your browser, or something else on your computer. Can you send me a screencast of you using your mouse to click the x, along with your browser information? Thanks

I edit on my IPad, Anna. I pressed the cross button but it did not go.

Hmm, odd! I just gave it a go on my iPad and it worked okay. Are you sure you’re getting the touch exactly right, on the x? I know it can be really tricky to pinpoint where your finger goes on an iPad - that’s part of what makes editing on mobile a bit more difficult, and why personally I use my laptop instead
As is, I’m afraid wikiHow isn’t really optimized for mobile use. We’re hoping to make more advances there in the future, but not all editing/full site features work on the mobile/tablet at the moment, since we have a separate non-editing mobile site. If you said it worked before, though, I don’t know of any reason why that would be changed. Maybe you can ask some other people who edit on their iPads whether it’s changed for them? Like I said, it’s working for me, so it’s hard for me to know what’s wrong in your case. If you can figure out a way to capture what’s happening, or a particular time when it’s happening or not happening for you, I can definitely pass that on to the engineers. It might also be helpful to try logging out and back in, and even restarting your iPad and clearing your history. I don’t know why, but sometimes all of those little tricks make a difference! Sorry - I wish I had more answers for you, but when it’s not happening on my own testing on my iPad, it’s hard for me to pinpoint the issue. But I’m sure it’s frustrating - apologies for that
I press it once and it says 0 messages. Then when I click some other page, it comes again.

Sometimes, this also happens to me, but it doesn’t happen much when I am on wikiHow.

I’ve seen this bug before!
It happened before the redesign too
