I just started the article  wikihow.com/Count-in-Different-Counting-Systems .  I wrote this so people can understand the various counting systems used throughout the world.  Since I like maths, I think this may be a good fit.

I conducted a bit of research (i.e. searched Wikipedia to understand how some counting systems work) but I would like someone to fact-check it for its accuracy and fix any problems with it.  It is a pretty large page as well (almost 10,000 bytes), so it would be good to see if the page is ready.  In particular, can @Emily_Pole or @WikiaWang or some other editor from China/Japan verify the section entitled “Counting in Chinese Numerals”?

I wrote this late at night, so there may be some grammar/spelling issues.  Please fix those as well.  I tried fixing them, but there still may be some grammatical errors.  Once everything checks out, let me know and I will remove the stub and inuse tags so a booster (that is not me) can review it.

Okay, I’ll take a look.

I’ve caught a few mistakes such as 一百三. Usually, I think it’s more formal to say 一百零三. I’ll make the change, and some other tweaks.

Here’s some minor changes I made:

  • I removed traditional Chinese characters since it’s is rarely used.
  • I added 2 greenboxs for clarification on extra zeros.
  • I removed some content where it says unused zeros should be omitted, where actually most of the time unused zeros at the end should be.
  • I added some content (not much, but still).
  • I also clarified and simplified the headings

I think the Chinese section is okay now; maybe @Emily_Pole can take another look?

Okay, thanks for the summon @WikiaWang and @Awesome-Aasim ! I had been off all those days trying to read my book report book and didn’t have any time for Foruming. Let me take a look right now.

I made a few edits on the last three steps of the Chinese system by adding a bullet point under the third to last step, changing from Traditional to Simplified, and cleaning the manuscript form up in the Arabic number -1,158 (should be in digits and not written out).

I went ahead and removed a lot of double spaces (see here ). I might’ve missed some, but I got most of them. It looks pretty promising!

Nah, that has no effect on the actual presentation of the article.  MediaWiki will only display one space.  I do two spaces between words by habit.  Both are correct.
