I searched in the forums, but couldn’t find much about it other than this thread . Although I am not against the idea, are the images reviewed before they are used? For instance, this image should probably be copyrighted unless we have permission from the publishers of Men’s Health, right? What do you think?

In the case of that image, I think it would fall under the “fair use” guidelines. (More info on fair use: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use ) I’ve updated the image template to reflect that. And yes, these images are reviewed in the wikiHaus before they go live. Doesn’t mean mistakes won’t slip in occasionally though.:slight_smile:Fortunately by having these on a wiki we will catch other errors. Like we did in this case. Thanks for finding it.

Actually I stand corrected, Elizabeth tells me that we actually check wikiphoto after they go live. She says we usually catch errors 24-48 hours after they are published.

ok, thanks for the reply. I never really understood how Fair Use works lol, but as the images are reviewed by wikiHow, I am sure all the bad ones(if any) can be rooted out.

I’d have to check, but I don’t think that that photo would be covered by Fair Use laws in this circumstance.

how dos that wikifoto work?? this thread haz been tagged!!
