      About This Article

      Article Summary X

To draw a 9mm gun, draw a horizontal rectangle, then draw another rectangle coming out of the end of it to make a shape like an L lying on its side. Angle the second rectangle back a little bit instead of orienting it straight down. At the inner corner where the two rectangles come together, draw a smaller rectangle, then draw an oval inside it. This is the space where the trigger will go. Next, start filling in some details. Draw a horizontal line across the top rectangle about 1/3 of the way from the bottom, dividing the top of the barrel from the bottom. Make the bottom segment slightly shorter than the top. Add another small rectangle to the end of the barrel to represent the muzzle. If you like, you can now add other details to make the gun look more realistic. For instance, sketch in a curved shape inside the trigger guard (the third triangle you drew) to represent the trigger. You can also add details like the hammer and rear sight on the back of the gun and the texturing on the grip and slide. Once you’ve filled in as many details as you like, erase any unnecessary guidelines and ink in your drawing. You can also color it if you like. Use silver or grey tones for the barrel and most of the other features of the gun, and color in the grip black.
