The most important thing when it comes to creating an outfit that I find in client’s closets that they're missing a lot of times are those basic foundational pieces. Sometimes they’re not very fun to buy, right? It's like a plain sleeveless shell which is just a v-neck or a scoop, but those plain pieces and especially neutral colors are like a blank canvas. And so being able to have those basic pieces and mix them with more patterns or colors, that's when you're able to make an outfit. If you have all colors and all patterns in your closet, I have a lot of women come to me like that. They're like, “Nothing goes together.” Of course they don't have those staples. So have those staples in your closet and you're going to have a much easier time. Things are easy to layer over things that are blank and are going to be great to getting your outfit started.
