Do you want to make a GIF in Microsoft Paint? GIFs are useful because they have very small file sizes that don’t take up much disk space and are easy to email. While you can't make an animated GIF in MS Paint, you can still create still image GIFs, and even use the program to convert other image types to the GIF format. Open a file that you want to make into a GIF in Paint. You can do this by navigating to your file in File Explorer, right-clicking it, then selecting Open With > Paint . Or you can launch Paint, then go to Menu > Open > and Select your file.
- If you don't have an image already that you'd like to turn into a GIF, you can open MS Paint from the Start menu and create a new image now.
