Anonymous calls can be traced if they are reported to the police for any reason, no matter how hard you try to hide your number. Usually this is if the call is threatening, harassing, or an unsolicited scam. Inappropriate calls to emergency services, crisis hotlines etc. can similarly be traced right back to you.
