My computer keeps restarting itself. What do I have to do?

You need to force power off during booting and you will get options for booting. Go to safe mode, go to run (windows key + r), type shell:startup and then enter. Delete files that may cause restart (usually some bat files or virus) and then check in task manager for unidentified startup programs. Finally, restart.

What do I do if my computer won't let me get past the first screen?

This tutorial is for Windows 7 and later. If you get the startup screen only, insert the install media (CD, DVD or USB pen drive). Turn off the PC with the power switch and turn it back on. You might need to change the boot order on your BIOS. Click next and then Repair Your Computer. Select the OS you want to repair and click Next. Then click Command Prompt or press SHIFT+F10. Once there, type these commands: bootrec /fixboot bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /rebuildbcd.
