Make it easy for your friends to add you on Discord
Do you want to share your Discord profile with others so they can add you as a friend? It's easy to do, whether you're using the Discord desktop app, mobile app, or Discord on the web. The easiest way is to share your Discord username, but in some cases, you may want to locate and share a direct link to your profile. This wikiHow guide will teach you two simple ways to find and share your Discord profile link on any device.
Quick Steps
- Enable Developer Mode.
- Copy your User ID.
- Replace "USERID" with your User ID in https://discordapp.com/users/USERID .
- Share that link to share your Discord profile.

Section 1 of 4:
Getting Your User ID & Linking
-
Make sure Developer Mode is enabled. You can enable it by clicking the Gear/Settings icon in Discord . Then go to Advanced > Developer Mode in the mobile or desktop app. Make sure the toggle switch next to "Developer Mode" is turned on.
- The Gear/Settings icon is in the lower-left corner next to your username on the desktop application. On mobile, tap your profile icon in the lower-right corner and then tap the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- This method can come in handy if you want to link to your Discord profile on a website, message board, social media profile, or even in your email signature. However, it's not the easiest way to share your Discord profile, which is to share your username instead.
- You can use this method on any device, including on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
-
Copy your User ID. Your User ID is a string of numbers that identifies you on Discord. To find your User ID, use the following steps:
- Desktop: Click your profile picture and click Copy User ID .
- Mobile: Locate a message you've sent in a server or DM and tap your profile picture. Tap ••• in the upper-right corner, and then tap Copy User ID to copy your user ID to your clipboard.

Paste the link to share your Discord profile. Your Discord profile link follows this format: https://discordapp.com/users/USERID . All you'll need to do is replace USERID with the user ID you copied to your clipboard. For example, {{kbd|https://discordapp.com/users/my_unique_user_ID.
- If that link doesn't work, try https://discord.com/users/USERID where your User ID replaces "USERID."
- Anyone can visit this site using the browser on their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
