Meet the conditions. To catch an Ancient Depth Serpent in Fisch, it can be any weather and season, but it must be nighttime.
- If it's daytime, you can use a Sundial totem to skip forward to the night cycle. You should see the announcement message: "(Your display name) Used a Sundial Totem to speed up the celestial cycle".
- Sundial totems can be purchased on Sunstone Island in a hidden cave. To find this cave, head east from Merlin's house or use the coordinates: X: -1220, Y:195, Z:-1045. One Sundial totem costs 2,000 currency.

2Equip the right fishing rod. Since the Ancient Depth Serpent is an Exotic catch, you'll need to use the proper rod to have an easier time reeling it in. The average base weight is 750 Kg while the highest base weight is 2,713 Kg, so be sure to equip a rod that can handle this weight.

- It's recommended to use a Fish Radar to quickly find the pool. This item can be purchased for 8,000 currency from Moosewood, Roslit Bay, and Terrapin Island.

Cast your rod and catch the Ancient Depth Serpent. The recommended bait to catch an Ancient Depth Serpent is Truffle Worm, but you may also use Squid. A cyan exclamation point will appear and a bell will sound as you hook the fish. As you reel in the fish, you'll have a -60% progress speed decrease, so pay close attention to the movement of the fish in the fishing bar.
- Once the mini-game is completed, you will have successfully reeled in the Ancient Depth Serpent.
