The Fairy-type Xerneas and the Dark/Flying-type Yveltal are two powerful legendary Pokémon that serve as the version mascots for Pokémon X and Y. If you want to get them, follow a step by step guide to doing so.

  3. If you have a Pokémon with Fly, use that to get there quickly.
  4. You'll find two Team Flare Grunts disguising as a waiter and waitress there; beat them and they'll reveal the password to enter the Lysandre Labs. Enter the Lysandre Labs by speaking to the cupboard near the waitress.
  5. Go through the Lysandre Labs, which has arrow tile puzzles which send you in specific directions and teleporters, until you get to B3F. Battle the Team Flare member there. After you beat him, he'll activate a weapon located in Geosenge Town.

      Tips

      • Xerneas and Yveltal are level 50, so make sure you have Pokémon that are of at least that level.
      • Stock up on plenty of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. Timer Balls are useful if the battle goes on for a long time. Don't bother using a Master Ball if you have one, since they have a high catch rate for legendary Pokémon.
      • Save before battling. If you accidentally faint them or run out of Pokémon Balls, you can restart the game and try again.

      Warnings

      • Don't use moves that inflict Poison or Burn. These status effects do damage every turn, so they may faint before you can catch them.
      • Try not to use your Master Ball. Save it for one of the Legendary Birds, Zygarde, or Mewtwo.
