The Fairy-type Xerneas and the Dark/Flying-type Yveltal are two powerful legendary Pokémon that serve as the version mascots for Pokémon X and Y. If you want to get them, follow a step by step guide to doing so.
Steps
-
Get the game which has the legendary you want. You get Xerneas in Pokémon X, and Yveltal in Pokémon Y.
-
Get to the point where you get the Psychic Badge. You get it by beating the Anistar City Gym.Advertisement
-
Go to Lumiose City. If you have a Pokémon with Fly, use that to get there quickly.
-
Go to the Lysandre Café, which is located on Vernal Avenue. You'll find two Team Flare Grunts disguising as a waiter and waitress there; beat them and they'll reveal the password to enter the Lysandre Labs. Enter the Lysandre Labs by speaking to the cupboard near the waitress.
-
Go through the Lysandre Labs, which has arrow tile puzzles which send you in specific directions and teleporters, until you get to B3F. Battle the Team Flare member there. After you beat him, he'll activate a weapon located in Geosenge Town.
-
Go to Geosenge Town and go into Team Flare's headquarters, located northwest of town. Inside, you'll battle a bunch of Team Flare members.
- After you beat them, you'll free Xerneas/Yveltal. Go up to it to battle it.

Tips
- Xerneas and Yveltal are level 50, so make sure you have Pokémon that are of at least that level. Thanks
- Stock up on plenty of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. Timer Balls are useful if the battle goes on for a long time. Don't bother using a Master Ball if you have one, since they have a high catch rate for legendary Pokémon. Thanks
- Save before battling. If you accidentally faint them or run out of Pokémon Balls, you can restart the game and try again. Thanks
