Do you want to delete a Messenger account from your Android? As long as you have multiple Messenger accounts, you can easily delete the accounts that aren't logged in. However, if you cannot remove any accounts, you can mute or delete them from your phone. Read on to learn more.

  1. Tap ☰ in Messenger.
  2. Tap your profile icon.
  3. Swipe left on the account you want to remove.
  4. Tap the red trash icon and then Remove .

    Drag your finger from the right side of the screen to the left, and more options will appear on the right.
    • You must keep at least one account linked to Messenger on your Android. You won't be able to remove an account if it's the only one signed in.

    I deleted messenger. The icon is gone but I still have the program. I can still use it but it's not in my settings programs. How do I get rid of this program?

    Download it again and go to settings and click delete. If that does not work, you may have to factory reset or restart your phone. If that doesn't work, then call your provider.
