This wikiHow teaches you how to remove a linked account from Facebook Messenger on an iPhone or iPad. You can easily delete a Messenger account from your iPhone as long as you're still signed in with at least one other Facebook account. Removing the account from Messenger won't actually delete the account, it will just remove its login information from this phone or tablet.

  1. Open Chats and tap your profile photo.
  2. Select Account settings.
  3. Select Account ownership & control.
  4. Tap on Deactivation and deletion.
  5. Select Continue until your account is deactivated.
