Log in at https://www.roblox.com/ in a web browser. In order to join 17+ experiences in Roblox , you must be 17 or older and you need to get your age verified. You will need to submit an ID in order to verify your age. Log in to your account in a web browser. [3] X Research source

Click the Gear icon. It's in the upper-right corner. This opens the Settings menu.

Click the Account Info tab. It's in the menu bar to the left.

Click Verify my Age . It's below your birthday in the "Personal" section. This will display a pop-up window.

Scan the QR code. Use the Camera app on your smartphone to scan the QR code on your computer screen. This will open a new window on your smartphone.

Tap Begin verifying . This will start the verification process.

Tap Start Session . This starts your camera on your phone.
- You may be asked to allow your camera access. If so, tap Allow .

Scan your ID. Use the camera on your phone to scan your ID. Roblox will automatically detect what type of ID it is.
- If there is a barcode on the back of your ID, be sure to get a picture of the back of your ID as well.

Take a selfie. Next, you will be asked to take a selfie. This is to verify that you are who you are in your ID.

Wait for approval. It may take a few minutes for your account verification to be approved. You will be informed if you passed or failed your account verification in real-time during your original Roblox session.

Go to https://create.roblox.com/ in a web browser and log in. If you are a developer creating a 17+ experience, swearing will only be allowed in the chats if you enable it in the Creator Hub. Go to the Creator Hub website and log in.

Click the Dashboard tab. It's the first tab at the top of the page.

Click Audience . It's in the menu bar to the left. This expands the menu below "Audience."

Click Communication settings . It's the second option below "Audience" in the menu bar to the left.

Click the toggle switchnext to "Allow Strong Language." This will allow swearing in both the voice chat and text chat.

Click Save Changes . It's the button below the line at the bottom of the menu. This saves the changes you have made.
