If you play Roblox, you may be wondering how you can enable face tracking. Face tracking (also called "animate your avatar" by Roblox) will display your facial expressions and reactions on your avatar while you're talking. To get started, you'll need an age-verified Roblox account and a webcam, or a mobile device with a front-facing camera.

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy .
  2. Toggle on "Use camera to animate your avatar with your movement".
  3. Make sure your avatar head supports facial animation, noted by a winking face icon.
  4. Enter an experience that allows camera communication.

    In order to use face tracking, you need to have an avatar head that supports it. You may already have a head that supports animation, or you may need to get a new one.

    If you have multiple cameras on your computer or your face tracking isn't working when you load into an experience, you may need to change your settings.
