Get the Hidden Key from the boss or NPCs, then go down the stairs below the Awakened Ice Admiral. Walk through a wall next to the stairs to find a chest. Touching the chest with the Hidden Key in your inventory will reward you with Rengoku.

    • Defeat the Awakened Ice Admiral in the Ice Castle within Second Sea [2] ,
    • Kill Arctic Warriors and Snow Lurkers, both of which are in the Ice Castle in Second Sea [3] .
    • Arctic Warriors and Snow Lurkers have a lower chance of dropping the Hidden Key but are at lower levels than the Awakened Ice Admiral.
    • Increase your chances of getting the key quickly by purchasing a 2x Boss Drops gamepass.

    Go down the stairs in the Awakened Ice Admiral's spawn room and head to the right of the red carpet. You can walk through a wall in line with the stairs and find the chest containing Rengoku.
    • You get two moves with Rengoku equipped: Demon Slayer and Burning Slash, both of which break Instinct (or Observation Haki) . They are single-target attacks, so you can't damage multiple enemies simultaneously.
    • You can upgrade Rengoku at the Blacksmith in First or Second Sea with 8 Vampire Fangs, 20 Magma Ore, and 15 Scrap Metal.

      • The best tactic for fighting Awakened Ice Admiral is to stay out of melee range and attack from a distance. Many of his strongest attacks are melee attacks, so avoid those. You also want to stay off the ground when he uses his "Absolute Zero" skill, which freezes the ground and anything on it. Luckily, there are stairs that you can use to get off the floor.
