Slime is fun to squish, stretch, and hold in your hands, but it is even more satisfying if the slime is glossy! You can make your own glossy slime using ingredients that you might already have. Use borax or contact lens solution to activate your slime ingredients. Then, try adding optional ingredients to your slime for extra fun!
Ingredients
- 2 cups (480 mL) of white glue
- 2 to 3 drops of food coloring
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) baby oil
- 8 pumps of foaming hand soap
- 1-2 tbsp (15 to 30 mL) of borax activator
- 2 cups (480 mL) of white glue

- 2 to 3 drops of food coloring
- 4 tsp (20 mL) of lotion
- 2 tsp (10 mL) conditioner
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) baby oil

Pour 2 cups (480 mL) of white glue into a bowl. Glue is the base of most slime recipes. Choose a plain white school glue, such as Elmer's. Measure out the glue and pour it into the bowl. [1] X Research source

Add the baby oil, hand soap, and food coloring and mix. Add 1 tbsp (30 mL) of baby oil, 8 squirts of hand soap, and 2 to 3 drops of food coloring into the bowl as well. Mix 1 tsp (5 g) of borax with 2 cups (480 mL) of warm water to make activator. The ingredients will not become slime until you add an activator, but you will need to mix the activator separately. - Store the extra activator in a jar or plastic container at room temperature and use it as needed to make additional batches of slime. Use the activator within 6 months for best results.
