You can usually avoid someone you don’t like without making it obvious or offending them. Although you might not be able to avoid the person completely, you can keep your conversations as brief as possible and avoid going into detail. Then, excuse yourself as soon as possible. Just say something like, “Anyway, I must get back to work,” or “I’ll see you around then.” You can also act busy or talk to other people so the person will be less likely to start a conversation with you.
