- 5 to 6 chopped coriander mint leaves (for garnish)
- 1 tsp chili powder for color (optional)
- 1 chopped green chile
- 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
- salt to taste

Cut chicken into serving-size pieces.

Heat up the oil or butter in a pot. Add chopped green chile, chopped onions and sugar. Sauté until the onions caramelize and turn reddish brown.Advertisement

Add finely chopped garlic and sauté until it turns brown.

Add the chicken, 1 tablespoon of paprika and chili powder to the mixture. Mix it well. Add salt and fry for 5 minutes.

Add tomato puree and cover the pan. Allow to simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes.

Mix the remaining paprika, flour and sour cream with a blender. Alternatively combine the ingredients in a bowl and stir for about a minute.

Pour the sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle the black pepper over the entire dish. Give a good stir, then add the finely chopped coriander leaves. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for ten minutes.
