I was publishing my new article and always it was coming to an empty page as a redirect with no history. The page is - http://www.wikihow.com/Use-the-'F'-Word-Appropriately I think the title is somewhat blacklisted and would be causing it to redirect or show that particular page.

But I tried publishing under other titles too but still it won’t publish I think its a bug!

Can you show a screencast of what’s happening? I think that would better our chances of finding out what’s wrong. =) http://www.wikihow.com/Record-a-Screencast-with-Screencast‐O‐Matic June Days

Its the link I gave !

WHATEVER is there on that link gets redirected when I publish the article.

So here are step by step screenshots! step1

step-2step-3

The word “fuck” is blacklisted on our MediaWiki page, due to excessive abusive usage. Because there is no way to whitelist your edits specifically (as far as I know), I’m afraid you’ll have to find a new topic.

No way ! Its not a bad usage article but appropriate usage article. And part from being black listed, In past I have written 2 articles which had Fuck used in it but it got easily published. How is that possible? I don’t think blacklists should prevent someone from writing articles.

The system cannot distinguish between bad and good usages. Writing an article is just sending an edit to the system. The system checks the blacklists for any words and if it is not found to have any, the edit is accepted. If the edit contains blacklisted words, phrases or links, it is denied. This is applicable to every edit sent, be it a talk page message or a new article. I also cannot find the word in the blacklist which is interesting. If you could email me the content of the article by clicking the email button on my profile, I could probably find the problem.

okay!

“Fucker” is blacklisted so your problem lays there. Remove that and you should be able to publish without an issue. Glancing at the article though, it doesn’t seem like something that will be allowed on the site without a fight. I hope you’re prepared to defend it against what would probably be quite a few people.

@Tiagoroth thank you so much !:slight_smile:Published it successfully! Yup I have to be prepared! Thanks again for all the hardwork !

Not a problem. Glad I could help:slight_smile:
