Welcome to the latest wikiHaus Lab update! Here’s what’s happening for August 25th:

:rocket: What’s happening?Adding reader polls. We’ve added quick one-question polls at the end of the steps on a small set of articles to see if they might increase reader participation on the page, like on 9 Ways to Open Your Spiritual Chakras - wikiHow . They seem to be getting good engagement, so you may see them on more articles moving forward.

:rocket: You may have noticed:Highlighting home page articles. Iris8989 noted that hovering over an article makes the title highlight green, and adds a border around the outside of it. You can see this in action on the screenshot here . This is an experiment, so we’ll see if it’s something that sticks around!

:rocket: Update:Our “Train Your Brain” word game is up and it looks like people are liking it. The team is looking to expand it and potentially have weekly updates! If you haven’t caught it yet, you can find it here: wikiHow to Train Your Brain .

I really like the highlighting of the articles on the Main Page and the brain quiz game!

I’m not able to get the reader poll to show up, either logged in or out, on the article you provided. Is that an A/B test and I just keep getting unlucky and not seeing it?

Interesting! I’m even seeing it on mobile, so perhaps I’m having the opposite luck?!

Judging from the screenshot I’ll vote for that also being cool! And yeah, I’m also on mobile. Just unlucky, I guess. Lol!
