Welcome to the latest wikiHaus Lab update! Here’s what’s happening for May 25th:
What’s happening?Reader Stories - the team is working on creating a new type of greenbox in the form of reader stories. These will incorporate personal experience around a particular topic and be within an article. They’re not live yet, but look out for them potentially coming soon!
What’s happening?New game - there’s a lot of design work happening for a new game where people vote on whether they think one article has more or less views than another. I’ll let you know if it goes live before the next update!
Update:User journeys - last time we talked about the new widget showing a reader’s journey. Now, instead of having the widget at the bottom right, it’s in a sticky banner at the bottom of the page. This is showing good promise and we will potentially be expanding journeys moving forward.
Update:Quizzes - you may have noticed that we’re expanding the number of quizzes
on the site. They’re doing really well, and the team is having fun creating and testing them out! Right now they’re still only staff-written, but if you have any suggestions for quiz topics feel free to let me know
Update:Article polls - these are also doing well so the goal is to expand and have them on more articles, and potentially even a standalone page where readers can just do polls!

I suggest a template for adding polls to articles.

The team is working on ways to automate what they can - but they’re still just added by staff at this time, so I don’t think there’s a need for a template yet
When will the Reader Story Greenbox template be created?
