When you're browsing your Discovery or Standouts tab on Hinge, you may find the profile of a friend or ex you want to avoid in the app. Want to prevent that person from contacting you? This wikiHow will teach you how to remove and block someone on Hinge before matching with them.

Blocking People on Hinge Before You Match

Tap the "H" tab, then the "Discovery" or "Standouts" tab. Tap the "â‹®" icon next to a profile, then select "Remove" and indicate your reason for removing them. When you see the "X" animation, you'll know they won't see you, and you won't see them.

    Your reason is private and will not be shared with the other person.
    • Once you select a reason, you'll see a small "X" animation that shows the remove has been submitted. That person will also not see you and you won't see their profile again. [1]
