Get rid of unwanted friend requests on Facebook

If you have a Facebook friend request you regret sending, or if you have a few from strangers you don't want to add, you can easily undo it. You'll just need to head into your Friends settings. Here's how to cancel a friend request on Facebook using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

- Tap Friends .
- Tap Friend requests .
- Tap ••• .
- Tap View sent requests .
- Tap Undo or CANCEL .

Open the Facebook app. It's a blue app with a white f .
- If you're not automatically logged in , enter your email address and password to do so now.

Tap ☰ . This is in the lower-right corner (iOS) or top-right corner (Android).Advertisement

Tap Friends . It's the tile with two people.

Tap Friend requests at the top of the screen.

Tap ••• . This is at the top-right corner of the screen.

Tap View sent request . You can find this at the bottom.

Tap Undo (iPhone) or CANCEL (Android). This will be to the person you sent the request to.
- The friend request will be canceled.

Delete a friend request (optional). If you want to delete a friend request that was sent to you instead, do the following:
- Tap ☰ .
- Tap Friends .
- Tap Delete next to the request.
- If you get a lot of unwanted requests from the same person, you can also block them .

Go to https://www.facebook.com in a web browser. If you're not already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now.

Click the two-people icon. This is the Friends tab. You can find this at the top of your feed.

Click Friend Requests . You can find this in the left panel.

Click View sent requests . This will be underneath the Friend Requests header.

Click on Cancel Request . You'll see this next to the person you sent the request to.

- Click the two-person icon on your home page.
- Click Friend Requests .
