You can't connect the Kindle e-reader to a TV; however, newer Kindle Fires can be mirrored onto a supported TV, while older Kindle Fires can be connected using an HDMI cable. Here's how to connect a Kindle Fire to a TV using Screen Mirroring with Miracast or an HDMI adapter.

Linking Your Kindle to Your TV

If you have a Miracast-enabled TV, you can link your Kindle Fire tablet. Connect to the same Wi-Fi network on both devices, and then tap Screen Mirroring in the Quick Settings menu. For older Kindle devices, you can connect to your TV via HDMI cable. Purchase a micro-HDMI to HDMI adapter, and then connect the two devices together.

Tap your Miracast-enabled device. It may take a few moments to connect.

Locate the micro USB connector of your HDMI adapter and connect it to your Kindle Fire. It will be the smaller end of the HDMI adapter and will only fit into the micro USB slot of your Kindle Fire.
