The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) deals with national policy and programs related to housing in the United States. Contact your local HUD office for immediate assistance. The HUD is divided into 10 regions, each overseeing several field offices. Contact your local field office by phone to speak to a HUD employee. Get in touch with the FHA Resource Center for questions about home ownership. The FHA (Federal Housing Administration) deals specifically with issues concerning home owners or potential home owners. Contact your local public housing agency (PHA) to ask about their programs. If you want information about the HUD's public housing programs, call or write to your local public housing agency. Fill out a fair housing complaint form if your rights have been violated. The Fair Housing Act was created to protect individuals from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or seeking financing for housing. If you feel that your rights as established by this act have been violated, visit the HUD website to file an official complaint. Call the Multifamily Housing Complaint Line to report a bad federal housing landlord. Tenants of government-subsidised housing can take action against their unfair landlords by phoning a toll-free HUD complaint line. This includes any landlords who mistreat or exploit their tenants for profit. Write to the HUD to file a complaint about your manufactured home. Problems with a manufactured or "mobile" home should first be addressed to its seller or manufacturer. If you can't resolve the problem this way, contact the HUC by mail with a detailed written complaint. Include your name and contact information, as well as all relevant information about your manufactured home. - List the home's manufacturer, serial number, label number, and date of purchase of your manufactured home.
- Mail the complaint to the "Manufactured Housing and Standards Division, Office of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, Department of Housing and Urban Development" at 451 7th St. SW, Room 9152, Washington, D.C., 20410-8000.

File a complaint about a HUD rental program by phone or email. The HUD offers several rental assistance programs, including public housing, privately-owned subsidised housing, and the housing choice voucher program.
