How to Draw a Cat Using the Word Cat

Start with a blank piece of paper and the word CAT.

Write the letters C - A - T with a 1 cm (0.39 in) gap between each letter using a pencil. Create a hook-like shape, on the letter T, at the end, as shown in the image above.

Create the tail first.

Connect the ends to make the shape of a tail. Then, connect the "C" to the letter "A" as shown.

Create the paws and hind leg.

Use the hook at the end of the letter "A" to create the shape of back leg.

Draw the front paws and head.

Then, draw a rounded shape on the vertical line of the letter "T" to make the shape of the mouth and nose. Draw the front paws using the bottom of the letter "T" as a reference.

Apply finishing touches.

Cats have some traits that cartoonists exaggerate such as their whiskers and their big round eyes, look up "Cartoon Cat" and notice what all of them have. Those are the features that make it look most like a cat. You'll need to add such features to the word depiction.

If you wish to make your cat more realistic, try making a smaller head, a less rounded body, and thinner legs.
