If you need to log in to your router, you'll need to know its IP address. Fortunately, finding your router's IP address on any computer, phone, or tablet is easy. This wikiHow guide will teach you how to find your router's IP address on a Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook, Android, iPhone, and iPad.
How to Find a Router IP Address
- Android: Open WiFi Analyzer and go to ☰ > Access points > your router.
- iPhone: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > your connection and tap the "i" in a circle.
- Windows: Open Command Prompt, type "ipconfig," and press Enter .
- Mac: Go to System Settings > Network > your connection > Details .
- Chromebook: Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > your connection > Network .

Install WiFi Analyzer (open-source) from the Google Play Store. Because most Android models can't display the IP address of the router you're connected to, you'll need to install a free app. Fortunately, this app has great reviews and is highly recommended online.
- Open the Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet.
- Search for wifi analyzer .
- Tap WiFi Analyzer (open-source) from VREM Software Development, which has a green icon containing white curved lines. [1] X Research source

Tap Access Points . You will now see a list of Wi-Fi routers, with the one you're currently connected to at the top of the list.

Find your router's IP address below its name. The IP address appears at the bottom of your router's tile next to the connection speed (e.g., 72Mbps).

Tap Wi-Fi . It's near the top of the Settings menu.

Tap the lowercase "i" in a circle next to your Wi-Fi network. This displays information about your current connection.

Find your router's IP address next to "Router." You may have to scroll down a little to see it.

Open the Command Prompt. You can use a quick Command Prompt command to find your router's IP address in any version of Windows, including Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows 8. To open Command Prompt:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Type cmd .
