Similar to other big streaming apps, you can find YouTube in Roku's Channel Store. You can download the app to view both regular YouTube and YouTube TV. Here's how to get YouTube on Roku using your streaming device, computer, Android, iPhone, or iPad.

- Select Streaming Channels .
- Select Top Free .
- Select YouTube .
- Select Add channel .
Steps

Press the Home button on your remote. This is next to a house icon.

Select Streaming Channels on the Roku menu. You'll find the Roku navigation menu on the left-hand side of the home screen.
- This will open the Channel Store.

Select the Top Free option on the Channel Store menu. This will show a list of the most popular free apps and channels available.
- YouTube is usually one of the top results in this category.
- Alternatively, you can select the Search Channels option, and search "YouTube" here.
- If you're looking for YouTube TV , you can find it within the regular YouTube app.

Select YouTube . Use the arrow keys and the OK button on your Roku remote.

Select Add channel in the channel details. If you created a PIN number during the activation process, you may be asked to enter it now.
- YouTube will be added to your Roku. To open the app, select Go to channel on the details page, or find it on your home screen. You can now watch YouTube on your Roku.

Log into your Roku account. Enter your email address and password. This is the account used to register your Roku device.

Enter youtube in the search bar. You can also use the categories to find YouTube.

Click Details . This will open the app's page.

Click Add channel . The app will be added to your Roku device.

Check your Roku device. If you don't see YouTube installed on your device, do the following:
- Navigate to Settings .
- Select System .
- Select System update .
- Select Check now .

Tap the search bar. This is at the top of the app. You can also tap Store to browse for YouTube manually.

Enter youtube and search. You should see the YouTube tile.

Tap the YouTube app. This will open the app's details.

Tap Add channel . You'll be asked to follow additional instructions on-screen to get the app on your Roku device.

Check your Roku device . If you don't see YouTube installed on your device, do the following:
- Navigate to Settings .
- Select System .
- Select System update .
- Select Check now .
