QuestionShould I caulk or silicone around a new faucet?Community AnswerYou can use a very small amount of silicone if you feel you need it. About This Article
To install a faucet, start by shutting off the water valves under the sink and disconnecting the hot and cold supply lines with a wrench. Then, remove the mounting nuts on the bottom of the old faucet, and take the old faucet off. Next, wrap plumber's tape around the threads on the new faucet, and apply silicone sealant around the sink holes.
