Making slime is a fun, popular activity. Most recipes require liquid glue, but you can still make it using a glue stick. The most basic recipe requires water and a microwave , but you can also make slime using liquid laundry detergent and a microwave, or, if you don't have a microwave, try contact lens solution . Cut up a glue stick and put it into a bowl. Unscrew a glue stick and pull it out of the tube. Slice the glue into small pieces, then toss them into a bowl. The size of the pieces does not matter; this is just to help the glue dissolve faster later on. ^{[1]

Can I use hot water instead of melting it in the microwave?

What do I do if my glue stick slime doesn't work?

Make sure you didn't use too much water, or else it will become too runny. Add more glue to balance it out. If it is stiff like a hard putty, there's too much contact solution or detergent. Add water.
