Do you ever wish it could always be night in Minecraft? Once you have a command block, a daylight sensor, and some redstone, you can use the time set command to turn off the daylight cycle. We'll show you how to battle on through the cold, dark night in Minecraft forever!

  1. You can't do this contraption without a command block. Type in the chat the command: /give (Minecraft Username) command_block
    • Example: /give ottergirl24 command_block
  2. It's easy in creative mode-just simply press E and either search up the daylight sensor or find it in the "Redstone" tab.

  3. Press "E" and either search up redstone or find it in the "Redstone" tab.
  4. You can place them both anywhere, but make it so that they can connect.
  5. Enter this command right here: /time set night .
  6. If you want to place them very far apart, use redstone repeaters to expand the amount of power you can have.
  7. Typing the command /time set day will activate the daylight sensor, powering the redstone and activating the command block, using the command /time set night to turn it back to night.

  1. Command blocks are not craftable and therefore you need to use the command /give (minecraft username) command_block .
  2. You can craft a daylight sensor by going into a crafting table, putting 3 glass blocks on top, 3 nether quartz in the middle, and 3 wooden slabs of any type on the bottom.
  3. You might need to dig a lot, but you only need a minimum of one piece, and there is no maximum.
  4. Enter the command: /time set night .
  5. It will turn back to night.

    Yes, but only in relatively new versions of Minecraft. Simply execuse "/time set 21000" to set it to night and then "/gamerule doDaylightCycle false" to prevent your world from ever transitioning to day time.
