From someone who has been rapping for a few years, the best way is to start out by imitating about 5 to 10 rappers. So choose a few (mine were Eminem, Royce da 5’9 , Inspectah deck, twista, mf doom, and hops in, just in case you need help finding a few). Make sure you like the rappers you listen to. Eventually when you rap, you will start to form a composite sound of these rappers that is all your own. The worst thing you can do though is change your voice dramatically using auto tune and other pitch correction software, and it's also not good to follow trends on your rapping subjects. Rap about things you can relate to (hardships, etc.)––stay original!
