  • Question
I have thick hair on my body, especially legs and other areas. If I wax it or wax it at a salon will it grow back thicker and longer? I'm male and I'm 17.
    Community Answer
I have been getting waxes for a few years now and can tell you from experience that waxing makes your body hair a lot thinner. It also takes longer for your hair to grow back. I also had thick hair on my body that made me very insecure, so I tried out waxing. It is pretty painful the first few times, but you get used to it.

  • Question
I have a really thick leg hair, and I want to wax it. Should I go for hot wax or cold wax?

Cold wax is less messy, but still leave lots of hair. Hot wax is way more effective; once it cools, it grips each individual hair strand.
  • Question
My family don't do any sort of hair removal methods due to religion. But how can I make it less noticeable? Preferably in a natural way?
    Community Answer
Bleaching/lightening is really your only option if you can't remove it. You say it's your family that don't do hair removal, but how do you feel about it? If you don't believe in the same thing as your family, you shouldn't feel pressured to go along, just do your own thing and don't make it obvious if you're worried about their reaction. Most of the time people don't even notice when you've removed hair, but it can make a world of difference in how you feel about yourself. It is your body and it being hairy only affects you, you shouldn't remove hair for anyone else but neither should you be prevented from doing so if that is what you want.
  • Question
Is there another way to get rid of my hair without shaving, waxing, or putting on cream?

Try laser shaving. After a few sessions, the amount of hair on your legs should diminish.
  • Question
I have thick, curly, long hairs on my legs. How should I reduce the hair and thin it without pain?

I will go on a vacation soon and I won't be able to shave my legs since I will have no time. I cannot wax or have a laser removal treatment; what can I do to keep my legs hairless?
    Community Answer
There is no magical way to keep your legs hairless. However, I'm assuming you'll have time to shower on your trip, so just bring a razor and shave your legs in the shower every few days.
  • Question
If I use hair removal will it permanently remove the leg hairs?
    Community Answer
No it will not remove the leg hair permanently. No waxing and hair removing creams will help you out in removing hair permanently. Laser removal may be permanent, but it's expensive and has potential for damage if not used properly.
  • Question
I'm 14 years old; can I still get laser treatment on my legs?
    Abigail Almog
    Community Answer
The accepted minimum age to begin laser hair removal can be as young as 14 years old, although most experts recommend waiting until the teen is through puberty and, if female, has begun her menstrual cycle. Also, always ask for your parents' consent! They won't appreciate it if you spend a large amount of their money on laser hair removal.
