  • Question
Is there a way to make the drawing process easier?
    Atrooja Khan
    Community Answer
If you keep your hand loose, you should get accurate results. After all, a sketch is a loose handed drawing. if you grip your utensil tightly, it won't turn out too good -- if you mess up, you won't be able to erase well and you may not like it.
  • Question
If I added more lines (to create volume), would it look more realistic?
    Community Answer
It might, but it really depends on how many lines you already have. Having way too many won't look realistic either.
  • Question
Wouldn't using a reference image and just copying it over make the process any easier?
    Top Answerer
Yes, this will make the process easier; most professional artists use reference images often. However, it may still take practice to get it perfect, as using references is still a skill to learn; don't be surprised if it isn't perfect the first time.
  • Question
How can I make a realistic eye with a pencil?
    Community Answer
Shading is the key to make anything look more realistic. Also, don't forget that the irises aren't just one solid color, there are designs in them.
  • Question
How do I draw the open smiling mouth easier?

  • Question
What do you call the middle of the lip?
    Community Answer
The dip your lip makes at the top in the middle is called the Cupid's bow.
  • Question
How do I fix drawing the teeth too big?
    Community Answer
That's easy to fix with pencil drawings. There are many different sized erasers on the market, some are even moldable to suit your needs! You can always look at your local arts store for some good erasers. If you don't want to do that, or don't have time for shopping, just gently using a regular eraser will do fine. There are also some erasable pens, but I would not recommend them for drawing purposes because they are very messy when you try to erase them. So just keep adjusting the teeth until you get a size you are happy with!
  • Question
Is there an easier and more "cartoonish" way of drawing mouths?
    Community Answer

  • Question
How do I draw a slightly parted mouth?
    Community Answer
Draw the top lip, and then add just the bottom of the two front teeth (and maybe a few other teeth, depending on how much you want the mouth to be open), then you can draw the bottom lip.
  • Question
How do I draw a more masculine closed mouth?
    Lizter
    Community Answer
Firstly, make the lips less voluminous. Try drawing them thinner, and if you want, you can make them barely noticeable. Also, make the colors for the lips more desaturated. The pinker/redder lips you draw, the more feminine they will look.
