  • Question
What color should I use for my ship?
    Community Answer
You can make it your favorite color, or you can use brown. Try to stay away from neon or light colors if you want it to look realistic.
  • Question
What should I add in the background?
    Community Answer
Perhaps you could add a dock overlooking a crowded city. Make sure to think about the time period and country.
  • Question
What if I don't have colors?
    Community Answer
That's okay. Just draw it with pen or pencil for now. You can always color it in at a later date when you have access to coloring materials.
  • Question
Why is it so hard and bad?

    Community Answer
Drawing things and making them turn out the way you want to can be difficult. You just have to keep trying. A useful tip is to start with the basics. Start small, with simpler easier drawings. Another thing is to try and find the basic shapes in a given drawing. Then you can build off of these basic shapes and get a better end result than if you didn't.
  • Question
What type of coloring utensil should I use (e.g, markers, color pencils)?

    Community Answer
Use whichever you are most comfortable with (markers, pencil crayons etc.). Just remember what each does: Markers: Best for a smooth look to the drawing, however, be a bit more careful with staying in the lines! Pencil crayons: Good for a homemade look and easy to fix up errors. However, they can quite often leave white spots between their lines! Paints: Once again, good for a smooth look. Don't forget to be very careful this time! Despite all of the guidelines with paint, great results can come from it (look at warship paintings made before 1990 in particular).
  • Question
How can I draw the Titanic ship?
    Haley DiF
    Community Answer
Consider starting with the "battleship" tutorial, since it looks the most like the Titanic. Then you can pull up some reference images of the actual ship and make the necessary changes. For example, getting rid of the weapons and adding smokestacks or adding windows to the side of the ship. That will make it look similar to the Titanic.
  • Question
How do I make a cruise ship?
    Haley DiF
    Community Answer
Consider following the instructions for the "battleship" drawing and simply removing the weapons. You can replace them with slides or something else you'd see on a cruise. And you can color/decorate the side of the ship by adding bright colors or drawing the logo of a particular cruise line.
  • Question
