I have carpeting down on my living room floor. I wanted to put down area rugs and keep them from moving and sliding so I got a double-faced fabric glue on both sides. Now I am trying to get the glue and residue off. What do I do?

How can I get slime out of my carpet?

If the slime is still "wet" and hasn't dried, I find that it can work well to just pour hot water on top. It melts the slime and then it can easily be picked up.
